Join us for a dialogue exploring the practical application of compassion in daily life and communities. This session will include a guided loving kindness meditation practice, followed by a dialogue with two distinguished speakers from the worlds of academia and Buddhist tradition. This session will followed by a Q and A and enlivening tea time/discussion period.

Featured Speakers
Professor John (Jack) Miller Professor Miller is a leading voice in holistic and contemplative education from the Department of Curriculum, Teaching and Learning at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE), University of Toronto. His work focuses on integrating spirituality and contemplation into educational settings to enrich learning and personal development.
Venerable Yan Ben (演本法師) With a PhD in Sociology from the University of Manchester, Ven. Yan Ben was ordained in the Dharma Drum Mountain sangha in 2012. He currently serves as the Superintendent of the Dharma Drum Mountain Yun-Lai Monastery and is dedicated to making the wisdom of Chan meditation accessible and applicable to the challenges of everyday life.
