About the Event
In line with Master Sheng Yen’s vision of bringing Chinese Buddhism to the West, DDM Toronto Centre is planning to print a bilingual edition of the "Diamond Sutra" liturgy for use in DDM activities, aimed at supporting the needs of DDM centres in North America and Europe. We invite you to join us in contributing to the propagation of Buddhism in the West.
Fundraising Period: November 1 to November 30, 2024
Goal Amount: $13,000
The "Diamond Sutra" is a fundamental sutra in Chan practice, highly regarded by practitioners worldwide. However, the current editions used by Dharma Drum Mountain only provide Chinese and phonetic versions, which do not adequately meet the needs of Western practitioners from diverse linguistic backgrounds. Therefore, we plan to conduct a fundraising campaign this November to raise funds for printing 1,000 copies of a horizontally formatted version suitable for North American use. These liturgies will be placed in various DDM Centres for the benefit of practitioners.
Donation Methods: Donations can be made online or at the Centre’s reception desk. Please specify "Sutra Printing" when donating. Any excess funds will be considered as support for the Centre and will not be refunded.
All merits will be dedicated to all sentient beings.
