About the Event

Chan Buddhist Meditation is a collection of teachings about Chan Investigation by Chan Master Boshan Wuyi (1575-1630) of the Caodong School in Ming Dynasty.

Ven.  Chang Yuan (aka  Chang Yuan Fashi ) will deliver a series of dharma talks of thirty-one essential guidelines from Chapter Words of Warnings to Beginners in Chan Practice.  Drawing from his own meditation experiences in Chan Hall, Ven. Chang Yuan will direct participants to the correct approaches in Chan practice as taught by Chan Master Boshan. Although Chan Buddhist Meditation is concise, it can be difficult for practitioners to grasp its meaning without proper guidance. With Venerable Chang Yuan's explanations, participants aspiring to engage in Chan practice shall clarify any uncertainties and benefit from the teachings.

Time: 14 sessions on Saturdays from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm on May 4, 18, 25, June 1, 8, 15, 22, 29, July 6, 13, 20, 27 and Aug 3, 10.
